Residencies
West African Percussion Residencies
We offer programming that caters to the specific needs of your organization or community. We are ready to provide traditional West African instrumentation including Djembe’s, Dunduns, Krin, and Balafon for up to 40 students at a time. We can also accommodate larger groups with the inclusion of other drums such as Congas and Buckets. We have extensive experience with all populations starting with students from early childhood all the way through colleges and universities, programs for the elderly, mentally/physically handicapped youth and adults, incarcerated populations, and the homeless.
Performance
We specialize in getting your students or participants ready for a final presentation. Even if we are only with you for one day we will bring your population from first time participant to performers by the end of our workshops. We provide costuming, teach songs, rhythms, dance and drum choreography, and inspire your people to get up and express themselves in front of an audience.
Dance
Our Dance residencies are also catered to the needs of the client. From one day master classes and workshops, to extensive in-school residencies culminating in a final presentation with full costuming, and choreography. We offer West African, Afro-Cuban, and Caribbean dance residencies, workshops, and master classes.
